Mor Demer

Mor Demer, Born in 1987 in Kibbutz Dvir in Israel, Berlin-based dance artist. She holds an MA in Choreography from ICI-CCN Montpellier (FR). As a creative collaborator and performer, she has worked with various prominent artists, among them: Tino Sehgal, Sigal Zouk, Sara Shelton Mann, Anna Nowicka and Keith Hennessy.
Mor collaborates with Peter Pleyer and Michiel Keuper as a performer of Cranky Bodies: a/company. Since 2016, she has also been a collaborator of Meg Stuart/Damaged Goods company as a performer in various works.
Demer’s independent work seeks to create syntheses between the fields of art, dance, healing, re-wilding, and cartography. In 2017, she created the dance trio ‘Oscillations’. During 2020-2021, Mor was a residence artist at DOCKART (DE), presented a dance solo and published the booklet “New Rear.” In 2022, ICI-CCN Montpellier Occitanie (FR) published her Master’s thesis. In 2021-2022, Mor collaborated with her father, Gadi Demer, on her project “To Mend,” a topological and choreographic research project that instigated a series of participatory mending actions across the city of Berlin.
Demer’s choreographic work has been presented in Germany, France, Belgium, Portugal and Israel in various venues and festivals. She was awarded the Tanzpraxis Scholarship of 2022-2023 by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe.
In 2023, she joined the Yasmeen Godder company and is currently working on their new production scheduled to premiere in 2024.
