My design aesthetic is a fusion between the rough and refined. Drawing inspiration from icons and symbols of our cultural heritage while striving to shed new light on contrived commodities.

Each collection is an exploration of classic jewelry and traditional craft giving an edgy contemporary twist.

Having danced in Yasmeen’s dance classes since my early twenties and Yasmeen being a client of mine since about the same era, collaborating with her on costume design for ‘practicing empathy #3’ was a natural meeting point of our worlds.

The work was presented following the COVID pandemic lockdown and bridged a much-needed connection between the inner and outer worlds as well as an inside look into Yasmeen’s meticulous creative process.
