Matan Daskal

Was born in 1988. A son to Rachel and Oded. A brother to Yonatan, Daniel, Arielle, Noa, Maya and Tali. Successfully graduated the "High School of the Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem" and the "Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music". Studied composition in the "ESMUC" academy, Barcelona, as a student of Christophe Havel. Today finishing his composition degree at the "High Academy of Music and Dance in Jerusalem" as a student of Professor Amnon Wolman. Danced in the "ensemble Bat Sheva" and in the "Bat Sheva" Dance company with Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal, and with the choreographers Iris Erez, Osnat Kelner, Andrea Martini, Einat Ganzt and more. Composed music for several dance works by Ella Rothschild, Bobbi Jene Smith, Osnat Kelner, Tom Weinberger and Inbar Walter alongside to writing chamber and orchestral pieces. Received 3 scholarships from the "America-Israel Cultural foundation" and is one of the founders of the "Castle in Time Orchestra". 

 

Since 2010 Matan is working with Yasmeen Godder as a dancer and a musician in the pieces "Love Fire" and "Lion Like A Lion".
