Zohar Gotesman

Zohar Gotesman (Born in Israel, 1979) is a sculptor, a graduate from the Department of Art, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem and a BA degree in Archeology and Art History from Ben Gurion University. He specialized in Marble traditional sculptural techniques in Carrara, Italy.

His works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in museums, galleries and in the public realm. Among others, The Israel museum, Jerusalem- solo show, The Tel Aviv Museum of Art-solo show , Moby-Bat Yam Museum, The Museum for Contemporary Art Bolzano, Petah Tikvah Museum, Petah Tikvah, House of Arts, Brno, Czech Republic, K.A.D.E., Amersfoort, Holland, The Israeli Center for Digital Art, Holon, Beit Ha Gefen, Haifa, Tel Aviv University Gallery, Rosenfeld Gallery, Tel Aviv, Shlush Gallery, Tel Aviv and more.

He won many grants and awards, including the young Prize, The Israeli Ministry of Culture and sport, a scholarship from the America – Israel Cultural Foundation, Outset Contemporary Art Fund (2017/2022), The Council for Culture and Art (2017/2018/2022), Israel and The Ministry of Culture and Sports’ Foundation for Independent Creators, Israel.

Gotesman lectures in the Art Department at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, and at the Shenkar School of Multidisciplinary Art and HAMIDRASHA, Beit Berl College.
