Uri Shafir

(1983) - dancer, actor, and performance maker.

Graduate of Alon high school of arts, and MASPA (Matteh Asher School of Performing Arts in Kibbutz Ga'aton)

As an actor, participated in different plays in Habima theatre, Beit Lessin theatre, and independent fringe productions.

As a dancer, worked in Batsheva Ensemble (2007-2010) and with various Israeli Choreographers: Dana Ruttenberg, Niv Sheinfeld & Oren Laor, Renana Raz. Maya Levy & Anando Mars.

As a choreographer/performance maker, created in different platforms in Israel such as Macholohet festivel, New Dance Festival (Hazira) and more.

in 2012 was invited to teach at the Univeristy of Boulder, Colorado as a guest artist.
