Back SHELLING
SHELLING is a solo work rooted in an embodied inquiry into inner fragmentation, yielding, and resilience. The title evokes both shelter and impact, positioning the body as a protective surface and a site shaped by external forces. Moving away from narrative or representation, the piece listens for a quiet internal voice formed through contradiction, repetition, and disruption. Informed by layered personal and inherited histories carried in the body, movement unfolds through intuitive impulses, breakdowns, collapses, and re-formations. Rather than illustrating memory, the body performs its accumulated tensions, opacity, and moments of adaptation. Shelling offers an intimate encounter with the body as a living archive: porous, resistant, and continuously reconfigured.
