Yasmeen Godder (choreographer, dancer) and Itzik Giuli (multidisciplinary artist, actor, writer, dramaturg and artistic director of the Yasmeen Godder Company)

Individual bodies – Vocal expression – Dance

For the past decade, Yasmeen Godder and Itzik Giuli have been developing works that question how the medium of dance imprints itself on the bodies of performers and audiences alike. This workshop will explore ways of accessing deep impulses within our bodies and psyches, treating them as raw material to be shaped into physical and vocal expression.

Participants will be invited to delve into highly personal modes of expression while also engaging in group practices that respond to shared needs and collective states. Drawing on the Practicing Empathy series, we will work with processes for creating and refining short individual and group scores.

The Masterclass will be held in English.

The Masterclass is designed as a fertile resource for artists from all artistic disciplines, e.g. visual arts and performance arts, working across different mediums who seek embodied tools for their creative practice.
