Anat’s lessons are based on the Release technique and begin with listening to the body and increasing awareness of its various systems. Throughout the lesson, we will work with the floor, recognize the body’s weight, and learn how the skeletal structure can support our movement. Gradually, we will build up to standing and structured exercises that combine rhythm, momentum, and movement in space. We will work from internal awareness of the body’s subtle details and develop communication with the space around us. The lesson will often conclude with a complex movement sequence that allows for the expression of all the elements learned throughout the session.
