Nir Vidan

Nir Vidan has been active since 2004 in the interdisciplinary field between physical and political theatre, contemporary performance and dance, first as a performer, and later also as dramaturge and choreographer. Since he graduated his studies at the academic center for contemporary dance in Berlin (HZT) in 2015 he has created several works that dealt with transform-ability of subjects and spaces, otherness, belonging, vulnerability and bodies as matter.

Among his recent choreographic works: ‘Glass’ (2020) presented at Open Spaces Festival – Berlin, ‘The Moth in the Glass Brick’ (2018) presented at The Kibbutzim College – Tel Aviv, ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ (2017) presented at Intimadance Festival – Tel Aviv, ‘The Restlessness of Winged Creatures’ (2016) presented at Dance Arena Festival in Jerusalem, Dance in Response Festival in Hamburg, Dock11 in Berlin, Haifa Museum of Arts and other contexts.

As a performer, Vidan is engaged with the artistic work of Isabelle Schad, Yasmeen Godder, Laurent Goldring, Clement Layes, Tami Leibovits, Ari Teperberg, Julia Rodriguez, Emma Tricard, Miriam Jacob, Elad Shechter, Galia Fradkin and Yael Tal.
