Back Stereotypes Game
Stereotypes Game is Yasmeen Godder’s first creation tailored for young audiences—a dynamic and interactive performance that invites participants to actively engage with the themes of gender and identity. Drawing on excerpts from Godder’s rich repertoire, the work encourages audiences to reflect on and discuss gender stereotypes as they unfold on stage.
Through playful yet incisive exploration, traditional male and female roles are mixed, exaggerated, and deconstructed, shedding light on biases both within dance and in broader societal contexts. Performed by Shulamit Enosh and Ofir Yudilevich & Dor Frank and Tal Adler Arieli,—virtuoso dancers with extensive experience working with young audiences—the piece combines humor, creativity, and intellectual depth to challenge perceptions and spark meaningful dialogue.
Stereotypes Game is a celebration of the body’s transformative potential, offering a fresh and thought-provoking lens on how we navigate and redefine gender norms through movement and performance
